Penalties

It is an offence for a person making a report to the ICAC to make false or deliberately misleading statements to the ICAC and penalties apply. It is an offence for a reporter to:

  • wilfully make a false statement to the ICAC
  • mislead or attempt to mislead the ICAC or an officer of the ICAC.

Maximum penalty: 20 penalty units ($2,200) or imprisonment for six months or both.
