Conference program
The biennial conference attracts over 500 delegates keen to learn the latest trends, research, and practices on preventing, exposing, and responding to corrupt conduct and corruption risks in the public sector, including all levels of government, elected bodies, the judiciary, police, and statutory bodies. The APSACC 2022 program of speakers includes:
- The Hon Mark Dreyfus KC, Attorney-General, who will speak on future directions for integrity in Australia.
- A panel discussion on gender considerations in corruption prevention and enforcement that is moderated by Fran Kelly, with panelists:
- Karen Chang, Director and Chief Executive, Serious Fraud Office, New Zealand
- Jaala Hinchcliffe, Integrity Commissioner, Australian Commission for Law Enforcement Integrity
- The Hon Helen Murrell SC, Commissioner, NSW ICAC
- Karen Webb APM, NSW Commissioner of Police
- Will Fitzgibbon CAMS, International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, who will explore the exposure and significance of the “Panama papers”.
- Jeff Morris, prominent whistleblower, and Alice Drury of the Human Rights Law Centre, who will discuss whistleblower protection in practice with Tom Devine, Legal Director, Government Accountability Project.
- The Hon Ann Vanstone KC, Commissioner, Independent Commission Against Corruption South Australia, who will speak on matters of importance for corruption exposure.
- The Hon Robert Redlich KC, Commissioner, Independent Broad-based Anti-Corruption Commission, Victoria, who will discuss the significance of corruption investigations and prevention initiatives he has led.
