MEDIA ALERT: ICAC public inquiry into allegations concerning Corrective Services NSW officers assault of prisoner starts Monday

The NSW Independent Commission Against Corruption’s (ICAC) Operation Estry public inquiry will start next Monday, 21 May 2018 at 10:00 am.
Operation Estry involves allegations that, on or about 19 February 2014, CSNSW officers based at Lithgow Correctional Centre dishonestly exercised their official functions in relation to an assault of a prisoner.

Commissioner Stephen Rushton SC will preside at the public inquiry, and Counsel Assisting the Commission will be Mr Sam Duggan.
The inquiry is set down for two weeks. A short media briefing will be held on the first day from 9:30 am on procedural and logistical matters.
