MEDIA ALERT: ICAC Operation Dasha public inquiry continues from 6 August at LECC

The NSW Independent Commission Against Corruption’s (ICAC) Operation Dasha public inquiry will continue on Monday 6 August 2018, from 11:00 am.

Due to another ICAC public inquiry also underway next week(Operation Skyline), this part of the Operation Dasha public inquirywill be held at the Law Enforcement Conduct Commission (LECC) hearingroom, Level 3, 111 Elizabeth Street, Sydney.

Operation Dasha involves allegations concerning whether publicofficials including former Canterbury City councillors Michael Hawattand Pierre Azzi, the former general manager, Jim Montague, and theformer Director City Planning, Spiro Stavis, dishonestly and/orpartially exercised their official functions.

Commissioner Patricia McDonald SC is presiding at the public inquiry,and Counsel Assisting the Commission are Mr David Buchanan SC and MsAnna Mitchelmore.

This segment of the inquiry is set to continue for approximately two weeks, but will not be sitting on 7 and 8 August.
