Operation Mantis submissions timetable

On 20 June 2024, the Commission adjourned the public inquiry in Operation Mantis and the Commissioner made the following directions for the timetable for the provision of written submissions in this matter:

1. Submissions of Counsel Assisting to be provided to relevant persons (or their legal representatives) by 5 July 2024.
2. Submissions in response to the submissions of Counsel Assisting are to be provided to the Commission by 19 July 2024.
3. Submissions of Corruption Prevention to be provided to relevant persons (or their legal representatives) by 12 July 2024.
4. Submissions in response to the submissions of Corruption Prevention are to be provided to the Commission by 26 July 2024.

On 4 July 2024, the Commission granted an extension of time for Counsel Assistings’ submissions. The revised timetable for submissions is as follows:

1. Submissions of Counsel Assisting to be provided to relevant persons (or their legal representatives) by 8 July 2024.
2. Submissions in response to the submissions of Counsel Assisting are to be provided to the Commission by 22 July 2024.

There is no change to the timetable for submissions of Corruption Prevention.

Submissions of Counsel Assisting will only be served on relevant parties. All submissions will be subject to non-publication directions pursuant to section 112 of the Independent Commission Against Corruption Act 1988.

The Commission will not be making further comment.
