Responding to corrupt conduct
Responding effectively to alleged or suspected corruption is critical. An effective response may involve a well-conducted internal investigation to ascertain the facts; prompt reporting to the Police, the ICAC or other body and appropriate disciplinary action. The information gained and lessons learned from each response should be part of an ongoing review of corruption prevention controls to ensure these are comprehensive and effective.
