The NSW Ombudsman provides advice to public officials who are considering making a protected disclosure or who are responsible for implementing the Act in their agency. The Ombudsman has also published guidelines for both NSW state agencies and local councils.

Link to the NSW Defamation Act 2005. This Act gives important protection to people who provide information to the ICAC about possible corrupt conduct in the NSW public sector. The Act protects you against being sued for giving a person’s name, or information about them to the ICAC.
