Training workshops

The ICAC helps NSW public sector agencies and individuals to prevent corruption through training and education. The ICAC also assists in the development of skills for the detection of and response to corrupt conduct.

ICAC workshops

The ICAC offers a range of training workshops, on a fee-for-service basis, geared towards public sector managers and specialist staff. These workshops are offered for registration by individual agency staff via the calendar of workshops below or as in-house agency sessions. The training workshops offered include:

  • Corruption prevention for managers
    A practical workshop which aims to raise the awareness of corruption, corruption risks and the role of managers in preventing, detecting and responding to these problems. Available as either a full-day or half-day workshop.

  • Better management of protected disclosures (in conjunction with the NSW Ombudsman)
    This workshop provides information about the protection that can be provided to people who report improper, corrupt or unlawful behaviour in the public sector.

  • Fact-finder
    An introductory workshop for managers and others in state government and local councils who may be asked to conduct an inquiry and who have limited experience in the inquiry process.

Calendar of workshops

The ICAC offers a calendar of workshops twice a year, normally in March and September, for individual NSW public sector managers and specialist staff. The calendar normally includes each of our the following workshops:

  • Better management of protected discolsures (half day)
  • Corruption prevention for managers (full day) 
  • Fact-finder (full day)

Dates for the 2010 calendar will be posted in the new year. 

Places are limited. A maximum of two people per agency will be accepted. Positions will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis.

In-House workshops for NSW public sector agencies

The ICAC can provide its standard workshops for managers and specialist staff as an in-house offering for NSW public sector agencies. In preparation for workshops we consult with you so that issues particular to your work environment can be addressed within the standard workshop framework.
